Keep her away from the scissors!!

NOOO!!!!! keep that woman away from my nephew! she cut his hair and now he looks like a little birdie, a little chickie.........or as his dad says a little "cheetah". Okay so I guess we can't keep that woman away from my little darling nephew because she is nursing him, yes, she is his mom! and she has gone and tried to trim his little hair. My poor little baby, he wasn't even a month old and my sister cut his hair. He looks like a little birdie with his little hair sticking up here and there. My little angel, I should have reminded her of how she ruined my sons hair when he was little. This woman is just attracted to scissors and little boys.............and she does ruin their hair. My sons hair never grew the same, to this day he has that type of hair that just grows straight like a porcupines thorns. Well enough ranting, hair grows back out..........thank God!!

Living with Less update

I've been having a great time just enjoying what I already have and seeing how much money I'm saving by not buying un-needed stuff. I'm happy, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. It's all going nice and smooth for me, I've come across some coupon sites and so far I'm enjoying some Freebies. I'll list the sites soon, for all you money pinchers, or you people who love to receive free things in the mail. So far I've gotten a free 14 day supply of vitamins, I'm waiting on a shampoo sample, and also a cupcake maker........those nonstick materials they've come out with lately. I'm going to keep surfing the net and getting freebies, It's fun!!

CAPIROTADA

I've been dreaming of having some Capirotada in my hands!! it's a Mexican desert that is usually eaten during lent. It's the equivalent of the American bread pudding. It's so yummy, I think I will stop by the Mexican store today and get me some. I know how to do it, but my kids don't really eat it.....so it's not a good idea for myself in making a pan and then having my husband and I eat it all. I can't wait to savor the flavors of our deliciously Mexican desert. Hopefully I'll find some at the store.

HOLA!!

Just checking in on everyone out there, and wishing everyone a 1 day late St. Patty's day. I remember when I was in school and I would forget to wear some green, I would always have the excuse that my eyes were green, so there. I still got pinched quite a bit. Today I've really been thinking of my new venture, and that is of starting my own podcast. I have all these wacky ideas floating around in my head and I really wish I had my podcast going already so I could throw them out there. I know that I will be a hit with the women my age and in my situation.........raising kids......enjoying marriage... and then there will be the "grey" people out there who will think it's too dumb, hahaha so what, who cares. I will still do it and whoever listens in, Thanks in advance. I personally love to listen to my podcasts when I'm driving and also when I'm doing my daily walks. So I know I must not be the only person that is so in love with the whole podcasting thing. WEll, till my next little bloggy blog.......see you.......take care......Be Happy.

Un-Kept women

I just have to throw out a thought.........you might not need to hear this because the shoe might not fit. But I am aware that there are a few women, only a few but they are out there and I know you see them because I see them too. Sad to say they might even be in your circle of friends and family. These are the women that have dedicated their sweet precious time to their children and have let their personal appearance go to heck. Yes I agree that children are a major part of our lives, but so is our husband!! we used to get all fancied up when we were trying to get his attention back in the day. Now, these women have locked that old girl up in the attic or something, she is but a mere memory of who this woman once was. They walk around in their jogging pants, big t-shirt to cover up the unfit body, they wear their long uncolored hair in a ponytail. What do they think their husbands think of them? or do they not care? in which case, why don't you care about what your husband thinks? wasn't this the same man you used to get all dolled up for? and why not do it for yourself if not for him? I just feel my heart tighten up when I see these poor women who are frozen in this Careless time warp. There is a beautiful person lying within and it's screaming to get out if they would only let them. So when does the beauty come back out? when the kids are gone and they no longer need "mommy", then what happens to mommy if daddy decided to look elsewhere for beauty? we are all attracted to beauty, and your man does deserve to see you at your best. Okay lets put it simple..........do you feel this crazy animal attraction to your husband when he doesn't shave, doesn't bathe, just doesn't care about his appearance? does that really hit the "take me to bed" button for you? not for me. I love to see my man looking so handsome as he walks out the door on his way to work, and I think he prefers me all dolled up..........even though I don't look so bad on a casual day either.... hehehe. Apology if I cause offense..........I too was there once..........but I saw the light.......the big mommy fashion light!! hurray for that light bulb moment. Take care and work on LOOKING GOOD.

LOL it's catching on

Driving my daughter to school the other morning, I look to my left....off the freeway, and lo and behold....what do I see? a gigantic billboard with the LOL sign on it. I believe it's advertising for Pepsi. I just had to come back around and take a picture of it. We have a thing in the family where the older folks (darn, that includes me!) we say it stands for lots of love, and that comes from our dear Uncle Joe who threw that out there in a family e-mail. His children argue that it means laughing out loud.........but you and us old folks know it very well means Lots Of Love!!!

Hamburger Buns

I made some delicious homemade hamburger buns. First time trying out this recipe, and it's a definite keeper! everyone loved it, especially me. My moni and I are big time bread lovers. Freshly baked bread right out of the oven..........with butter, that is the ultimate yummers!.
