He did it!!


Awesome time!!! 1hr 23min.

My precious hubby did the Triathlon this past weekend, the day after Moni's party. And he did an awesome job at it, even when he didn't do any mega-training beforehand. He did it in great time, 1 hour 23 minutes is all it took him to do a 1/4 mile swim, 9 mile bike, 3 mile run. Wow that's great time for being his first. He looked so cute with his little tight shorts. I'm just super proud of him and I hope he will keep up with his training and keep on doing some of these throughout the year. Now time for me to get cracking on getting ready for my 5K coming up.

Moni's Sweet 16

What a spectacular time we had with Moni's party this past weekend. It was all I had dreamt for her and then a whole lot more. We were joined by very close, special, people who have been in moni's life since she was born, and then her close friends from school too. Everything looked beautiful, like a beautiful dream. Towards the evening it turned into a very emotional gathering, as we played a video for everyone to enjoy, a video of Moni's life in pictures. I put it together for her and added some of her favorite music, it was a very heartfelt video and everyone enjoyed it. The tables were turned on me when Moni decided to come up and surprise me with a beautiful song she had been practicing. It was sang to me with words and tears, it was very moving and very special, something I will never forget. She had everyone present crying and seeing just how precious this child is. She is a beautiful young lady with a heart of Gold. She is love in the best of ways, she is all a mom could ask for in a daughter. God bless her and protect her throughout her lifetime, she's a sweet angel that came to light up my life. I adore that girl!!

We are currently working on our backyard because we are having our Moni's sweet 16 this coming weekend. It's a whole lot of work to take on, looks like one of those episodes from Weekend Warriors. I'm crossing my fingers that it won't turn out like the usual episodes where they took on too much. It's looking good so far. We should be getting the cement poured tomorrow and from there it's all easy. I'm excited about Moni's party! I've put together a really neat video for her, it's a little biography of my Moni, her 16 years in pictures. I'll post some pictures for you all later, after the party.

Hubby on Vacanza

First day of my sweetie being on vacation. Easy going morning, lots of kisses here and there. I'm so glad he took a week off to just work around the house, and of course get ready for my Moni's sweet 16 this coming weekend. So far he has worked on pruning his lemon tree. This man is just so well rounded, I swear he knows a little about everything, or maybe sometimes A lot about everything. I just got too lucky in life, well I don't believe in luck so I will take that back. I believe in God already having a plan for you, and for you to find that path and stay on it. I believe we attract good into our lives, and last but not least I will always believe in getting back what you give out. I've given love and I've received love. I have loved with my full heart, I've never said or thought....I won't love completely because I will get hurt. My heart has given of itself completely and I have gotten back that same love and even extra. That's all the world needs, people that love with their whole heart and spirit and love in the moment without thinking of the Tomorrow or the what if. Hey, gotta go enjoy the vacanza with my honey, catch'a later.

My Hubby is doing a Triathlon

Yes it's true, my little bundle of goodness is signed up for a triathlon, which by the way is coming up in two weeks. He is looking good and training daily. It's fun to see him so full of enthusiasm about this race. I love to see him enjoying life and all the possibilities that cross his path. I'll be there with him to take lots and lots of pictures. I'm glad he's doing it and I hope it's the beginning of something he will enjoy and want to do once a year at least. He's such a cutie, I can't wait to see that bod-a-licious body in some little tight biking shorts....tehee.

Footsie Feeling Better

Thank Goodness my foot is feeling so much better today!! I went to the doctor and got some prednosone, that I have to drink for 5 days, already I'm feeling better. The swelling is going down slowly, but this morning I could actually wiggle my toes. Wiggly toes are back and I'm happy as can be. I'll be doing a lot of wiggling today, I can wiggle again!! how we take for granted the smallest of miracles, just being able to move each and every part of our bodies is such a blessing. Well, just wanted to share my happiness with all. Have a super day and be thankful for all you can do.

Get away Bees!!!

I got stung by a bee on my foot during the weekend and it HURTS!!! we went to a family party at the park, and lo and behold as I walk back from the restroom, a sudden pinch on my toe, enough to stop me in my tracks. As I look at the injured area I notice the stinger still hanging from my toe, with some white looking juice still coming out of it. I yanked it out and hurried to walk towards the party.....in the worst of pains. Luckily I had a first aid kit in the car and was able to put some neosporine pain reliever on it and a band aid, which helped at the moment. But by that evening, my foot had started to swell up and felt even more painful than the initial pain. Long story short, next day, Sunday, was a nightmare with my foot swollen and in much pain, yet it didn't stop me from going to Macy's to get some of the deals they had going for 3 days, last day being Sunday. I got a nice pot for stews and soups (Cuisinart) for only $20. We also got a very nice coffee maker, grinder already built in for only $40. So the deals were a good thing, but the foot was not. We had yet another party to attend that Sunday, yes again at the park, call us crazy....that's our family. So there I sat for a few hours at the party with my foot up on a chair, icing the foot and keeping my spirits up. I would've stayed home, but I figured I'd be alone doing the same thing with my foot, keeping it elevated and iced, so why not do it surrounded by the people I enjoy, Family. But today MONDAY I call it quits on the sitting around waiting for the swelling to disappear. I've called the doctor and they will see me by 11:30. I had a horrible thought last night, I literally thought my circulation is going to heck and I would end up with a stump for a foot, that is enough to make you want to go to the doctor ASAP. So that is what I am doing......by the way, gotta go, don't want to be late. So the bad thing was the bee sting, the good thing was the deals at Macy's. Gotta look at the bright side...........Always!!
