My family is complete again

My precious family is complete again! I'm so happy because my Moni is back home and now I can sleep sound knowing that all my kids are under my roof, and under my protection. I believe that Moni had a great time in Italy and Greece, but she realized how much she loves being home with us. She had tears running down her cheeks when we picked her up at the airport, what a great lesson for a child to be away from home for a while. Maybe I should send my Gilbert away so he can come to value us and cherish the love we give him. Well, NO, I know that I wouldn't really want him to go anywhere, as much as I'm having a hard time figuring him out, I know that he will come around once he feels comfortable with the young man he is becoming. We all went through adolescence and we know it's not the easiest time of our lives. I'll just hang in there and keep him safe. Once again, so happy my Moni is back home :)

Moni is coming home!!

Thank God! these days have gone by finally!! it seemed like forever being without my Moni. And now she will return to us, tomorrow night. I can't wait to see my precious daughter and hold her in my arms once again. To hold her so tight and breathe her in, to see her smile and feel the joy in her heart. She's so precious to me, she's all I could ever ask for in a daughter. She's a child that makes motherhood all it's meant to be, she's a treasure like no other. And I'm bursting with Joy to know she will finally be back. Love her to the core.

on being a "mom"

Christmas 2008

My first Son......my bundle of Joy.

My Daugther........My blessing

My Baby

My children.....My purpose

Where can I start on why I love being a mom? maybe it's because of the children I have that makes me love being a mom? or is it just meant to be that I would grow up to love motherhood, and be proud of the fact that I am raising three outstanding human beings? after many years of frustration and times when I wanted to pull my hair out......practically on a daily basis, I've come to a very peaceful place in the journey of being a mom. I'm experiencing a time of peaceful bliss, a time of sitting back and enjoying the fruits of my labor. I can see and hear what I have instilled in my children, and I am proud. I've created children with a heart, children with compassion for others, children that will grow up to be extraordinary adults......who will in turn instill the same values in their children. I'm excited about life, I can't wait to see what's around the corner. I've come to know who I am, who I was meant to be and the reason for my existence. My children have come into my life to make me a whole person, to complete my life and my soul. I am fully aware of my self and of my purpose, and that is the purpose of being a teacher to my children, to create and make what I want from them. This in no way takes away from who they are, it just keeps them on track if they happen to lose their way. I'm a little lighthouse showing them the way to were they belong in this world. Motherhood is truly a blessing and a great responsibility, the most beautiful part of being a mom is that feeling in your heart that comes to life the minute you become a mom. A love like no other, a love without expectations, love in the purest of forms. I love being a mom, I wouldn't have my life any other way.

My moni is in Rome

My precious daughter is in Rome at the moment. She went on a trip with school and it sounds like she is having a blast. We went to drop her off at the airport on Monday morning, I have to admit it was hard seeing her go. You feel as if she's out of your protective arms and that she is now going to figure out the world on her own. But I have all the confidence in the world for my Moni, I know she has a great head on her shoulders and she always makes the correct choices. She's an adorable person and she has a lot to offer to the world and the people she comes across. I know that she will come back with many a story to tell us and we will all sit in amazement, our hearts filled with joy to have her with us again. Sadly, this will be my very first Easter without my little girl, it's been us together for the last 16 years........and a lot has happened between those years, she's become such a sweet young lady. Always so loving to me and to her daddy. I hope that time will stand still for a little so I can enjoy her some more before she is off into the world on her own and on her way to creating her own family. I Love her so much.

Keep her away from the scissors!!

NOOO!!!!! keep that woman away from my nephew! she cut his hair and now he looks like a little birdie, a little chickie.........or as his dad says a little "cheetah". Okay so I guess we can't keep that woman away from my little darling nephew because she is nursing him, yes, she is his mom! and she has gone and tried to trim his little hair. My poor little baby, he wasn't even a month old and my sister cut his hair. He looks like a little birdie with his little hair sticking up here and there. My little angel, I should have reminded her of how she ruined my sons hair when he was little. This woman is just attracted to scissors and little boys.............and she does ruin their hair. My sons hair never grew the same, to this day he has that type of hair that just grows straight like a porcupines thorns. Well enough ranting, hair grows back out..........thank God!!

Living with Less update

I've been having a great time just enjoying what I already have and seeing how much money I'm saving by not buying un-needed stuff. I'm happy, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. It's all going nice and smooth for me, I've come across some coupon sites and so far I'm enjoying some Freebies. I'll list the sites soon, for all you money pinchers, or you people who love to receive free things in the mail. So far I've gotten a free 14 day supply of vitamins, I'm waiting on a shampoo sample, and also a cupcake maker........those nonstick materials they've come out with lately. I'm going to keep surfing the net and getting freebies, It's fun!!

CAPIROTADA

I've been dreaming of having some Capirotada in my hands!! it's a Mexican desert that is usually eaten during lent. It's the equivalent of the American bread pudding. It's so yummy, I think I will stop by the Mexican store today and get me some. I know how to do it, but my kids don't really eat it.....so it's not a good idea for myself in making a pan and then having my husband and I eat it all. I can't wait to savor the flavors of our deliciously Mexican desert. Hopefully I'll find some at the store.
